New Leadership in the Beauty Industry

The beauty and wellness sector is undergoing notable transformations as several key players announce executive appointments aimed at driving growth and innovation. Notably, Amanda Kahn has been appointed as the General Manager for the U.S. at Neom Wellbeing, a prominent UK-based brand known for its commitment to natural fragrances and beauty products. Kahn brings a wealth of experience from her previous role as Senior Vice President of Marketing at RéVive Skincare, along with senior positions at Pür and the parent company of Eve Lom, Space Brands Ltd. Her arrival signals Neom’s ambition to expand its footprint in the US market, tapping into her extensive marketing expertise to bolster brand awareness and engagement.

Simultaneously, Moon Juice, a wellness brand that has gained traction since its inception in 2011 by Amanda Chantal Bacon, is elevating its operations with the appointment of Federico Troiani as its first Chief Executive Officer. Troiani’s entry is expected to offer strategic direction as the company positions itself more prominently within the wellness and supplement sphere. His leadership will likely enhance the brand’s offerings and market presence, reflecting an industry trend toward professional management in companies that were initially created by visionary founders.

In a significant move within The Estée Lauder Companies, Brendan Riley has taken on the role of Senior Vice President of Global Corporate Communications. Coming from Brunswick Group, where he served as a partner, Riley’s communications expertise will be instrumental in steering the brand’s narrative globally. As public perception increasingly shapes brand success, his skills in strategic communication could play a pivotal role in redefining how Estée Lauder interacts with its diverse stakeholders, including consumers, investors, and the media.

WeightWatchers is also making waves with its recent acquisition of Peoplehood, bringing in Julie Rice, co-founder of both Peoplehood and SoulCycle, as Chief Experience Officer. This leadership shift is poised to leverage Peoplehood’s community insights, particularly around menopause and GLP-1 medications, to enrich WeightWatchers’ curriculum. By embedding these learnings into their programs, WeightWatchers aims to create a more holistic approach to weight management that addresses the emotional and social dimensions of health and wellness.

Similarly, Lashify is positioning itself for growth with the appointment of Ray Carreon as Senior Vice President of Growth. Carreon transitions from a leadership role at One/Size, where he was instrumental in e-commerce and digital strategies. His arrival at Lashify indicates a focus on expanding the brand’s digital footprint and enhancing customer engagement, crucial for the lash company as it competes in a crowded market increasingly dominated by online interactions and sales.

Finally, Hydropeptide has made strides in its research and product development initiatives by appointing Dr. Lauren Jamieson as Medical Director. A respected figure in aesthetics, Dr. Jamieson is the founder of a medical aesthetics clinic in Scotland. She will collaborate closely with Hydropeptide on innovative products and educational programs, positioning the brand as a leader in skincare. Furthermore, Troy Puccia’s role as Chief Operating and Financial Officer at Herbivore Botanicals underscores the brand’s commitment to operational excellence, drawing on Puccia’s experience from Nest New York. These executive changes reflect a dynamic landscape in the beauty industry, where strategic leadership is critical for driving product innovation and brand loyalty.
