In the ever-evolving beauty and wellness industry, recent appointments reflect a blend of innovation and fortification in leadership roles. Revive Collagen, a UK-based company that has made exciting strides in the market by partnering with major retailers like Ulta Beauty and Walgreens, has recently appointed Shawn Hayes as their new president. Hayes comes with an impressive resume, having held leadership positions at major brands such as Serena Williams’ Wyn Beauty and Jen Atkins’ Mane Addicts. This move marks a significant transition as Hayes aims to elevate the visibility and impact of Revive Collagen in the competitive beauty landscape, promising to infuse fresh perspectives and strategic insights from his rich experience in the sector.

In addition to Revive Collagen, the established skin care brand Comfort Zone has found a new general manager in Denise Dente. Well-respected within the industry, Dente has previously directed operations at notable companies such as Image Skincare and Revlon. Her wealth of experience provides Comfort Zone with strong leadership as it continues to evolve since its inception in 1996 under the Davines Group. Dente’s appointment signals a commitment to not only maintaining but also enhancing the brand’s reputation in skincare, aiming to cater more effectively to evolving consumer preferences while championing sustainability.

Brooke DeVard is another recent addition to the beauty landscape, joining Refinery29 as chief content officer. Known for her work as the host of the Naked Beauty podcast and her own beauty and lifestyle product line, DeVard brings a unique blend of media and marketing experience. Her previous roles at major organizations like Instagram and Viacom have equipped her with the tools needed to craft compelling narratives and engage diverse audiences. This opportunity aligns perfectly with her passion for beauty and storytelling, and it’s expected she will harness her background to enhance Refinery29’s content strategy and engagement, boosting its profile in the saturated media market.

In the realm of supplements, Mandy McCarthy has been appointed as the chief marketing officer of Trace, a mineral supplement brand. McCarthy’s extensive background, including pivotal roles at Nestlé Health Science and Unilever, positions her well to take the helm at Trace. Given her experience overseeing consumer marketing functions across various reputable brands, McCarthy is expected to introduce innovative marketing strategies that amplify Trace’s presence in the supplement market, enticing wellness-conscious consumers who seek effective solutions in their health regimens.

The appointment of Kathleen Moor as head of marketing North America at Tangle Teezer highlights the brand’s commitment to strategic growth. Moor arrives with a strong marketing background, formerly serving as global director of marketing at PZ Cussons, known for brands like St. Tropez. Her expertise is likely to steer Tangle Teezer into new avenues; focusing on enhancing brand visibility and consumer engagement within a competitive landscape, ensuring its innovative hair care products reach broader audiences while resonating with changing beauty standards.

Lastly, on a governance level, Sarah Boyd of Sephora U.K. and Estée Lauder veteran Sue Fox have both joined the board of the British Beauty Council. Boyd’s previous experience in leadership roles in retail across Southeast Asia adds valuable insight into the global beauty market, while Fox’s three-decade tenure at Estée Lauder brings a wealth of industry wisdom. Their combined expertise is expected to provide robust strategic guidance to the council as it navigates the challenges and opportunities within the beauty sector, ultimately steering the industry toward a progressive future.
