Sabrina Carpenter Teases New Prada Beauty Product in Her ‘Manchild’ Music Video

Sabrina Carpenter is making significant waves in the beauty and music scenes with the release of her latest single, “Manchild.” This song, accompanied by a vibrant music video reminiscent of the late 1970s, showcases a youthful exuberance and encapsulates the trials and tribulations of young adult life. Just after finishing the European leg of her “Short n’ Sweet” tour, Carpenter seamlessly transitions into this new creative endeavor. Set against a dusty desert backdrop, the video features her casually snacking on Prada-branded banana candies, hinting at an exciting partnership with Prada Beauty that began last September, just a year after the brand’s launch.

In the music video, the banana candies aren’t just a whimsical snack; they symbolize a deeper connection to Prada’s history, referencing a signature banana print from the brand’s spring 2011 collection. This playful element serves as a clever nod to an unreleased beauty product expected to debut in June. Carpenter’s artistry goes beyond just music; she deftly integrates fashion and beauty into her work, suggesting a multi-layered approach to her creative expressions. This melding of music and fashion illustrates a contemporary trend where artists use visual storytelling to market brand collaborations while enhancing their artistic narratives.

This isn’t the first time Carpenter has showcased Prada Beauty products. Last year, she revealed the brand’s debut mascara and featured a color-changing lip balm in her music video for “Please, Please, Please.” In these appearances, she artfully combines high fashion with personal storytelling, making her brand namesake part and parcel of her expressive journey as an artist. Throughout the “Manchild” video, Carpenter flaunts her makeup selections, including the new Prada Light Highlighter, the Refine Blurring Extending Primer, and the Reveal Skin-Optimizing Refillable Soft Matte Foundation. Her eye makeup, characterized by a dusty brown palette, is created with Prada’s Dimensions Multi-Effect Eyeshadow Palette, alongside smudge-proof eye pencils and lengthening mascara.
