Miley Cyrus Puts Her Own Twist on a ’80s Rockstar Hairstyle at the Chanel and Tribeca Film Festival Luncheon in NYC

Miley Cyrus made a striking impression at Chanel’s annual luncheon in partnership with The Tribeca Film Festival, held in New York City. The 32-year-old singer, recently back in the spotlight with the release of her album “Something Beautiful,” attended this significant event to support the Through Her Lens: The Tribeca Chanel Women’s Filmmaker Program. The gathering highlighted the talents of women in the creative field, attracting notable figures like Parker Posey, Lola Tung, Riley Keough, and Olivia Munn, all celebrating women’s contributions across various forms of artistry.

Cyrus showcased her love for vintage glam with a hairstyle reminiscent of 1980s rock goddesses. With dark brown roots teased into a voluminous Elvis-inspired bump, she let a single curl brush lightly against her forehead. The cascading blonde highlights blended effortlessly with her messy, carefree curls, presenting a look that was both nostalgic and effortlessly chic. Her hairstylist, Bob Recine, known for his long-standing collaboration with Cyrus, crafted this lively hairstyle that echoed the energetic music scene of that memorable decade.

The singer’s overall aesthetic at the luncheon was slightly toned down compared to some of her previous public appearances, yet still exuded a distinct rockstar vibe. This time around, Cyrus opted for a black vest adorned with four pockets, a two-tiered pleated skirt, and classic mary jane heels, all encapsulating her unique take on the rocker style. Accompanied by her mother, Tish Cyrus, who donned a stylish white blazer and strappy sandals, the duo appeared like a vision of modern-day glam, evoking the spirit of fashion icons from the 80s while maintaining a contemporary edge.

Staying true to her rocker persona, Cyrus accessorized with bold black sunglasses while mingling at The Greenwich Hotel Courtyard. Underneath the shades, she wore a subtle yet striking makeup look featuring bronze eyeshadow, mascara, a touch of white liner, and soft pink gloss on her lips. Her practiced makeup artist, James Kaliardos, perfected this polished yet effortless style, enhancing her natural beauty while ensuring she stood out among the glamorous crowd at the event.

The timing of Cyrus’ appearance was fitting as it closely followed the release of her ninth studio album. In addition to new music, the album is accompanied by her first short film, which debuted at the festival, bringing a visual narrative to life that corresponds with the themes explored in all thirteen songs. This multimedia project reflects her continued evolution as an artist, showcasing not just her musical talents but also her aspirations as a filmmaker and storyteller, further solidifying her presence in the creative space alongside her peers.

Overall, Miley Cyrus’ appearance at the Tribeca Chanel luncheon highlighted her growth as an artist and a member of the creative community, celebrating both her individual achievements and the wider contributions of women in the film industry. This gathering served not just as a platform for her latest work but also as a tribute to the powerful voices shaping the future of filmmaking, reminding everyone of the importance of storytelling in various forms and the legacy being created by today’s female artists.
