Jessica Diner, Veronika Ullmer Join CGC Leadership Team in London

CGC, a communications and talent agency focused on beauty and wellness, is making significant strides in its leadership by appointing two notable figures: Jessica Diner from British Vogue and Veronika Ullmer from Glossier. Jessica Diner takes on the role of chief global brand and creative officer, while Ullmer is now the president and chief communications officer. They will work closely with Clare Goodwin, the agency’s founder, as CGC aims to boost its growth not just in the U.S. but on a global scale.

Clare Goodwin expressed her enthusiasm for these appointments, highlighting the wealth of experience both leaders bring to the table. Diner’s extensive background at Vogue, particularly in beauty and wellness, positions her uniquely to help brands forge meaningful connections with their audiences amidst a constantly shifting cultural landscape. Goodwin believes that modern branding transcends mere products; it encompasses a deeper understanding of cultural trends and audience engagement.

Jessica Diner, who spent nearly two decades at Vogue, sees great potential in merging her editorial insights with CGC’s vision. She is excited about collaborating with both emerging and established brands, aiming to create impactful work that resonates with contemporary culture. Diner’s ambition is to leverage her expertise in creator partnerships and influencer strategies, fostering authentic connections that matter.

Veronika Ullmer, on the other hand, has a rich history in leadership roles at prestigious brands like Estée Lauder and Augustinus Bader. She emphasizes the need for brands to combine creativity with commercial acumen, stating that the most successful brands today are those that are narrative-driven and culturally aware. Ullmer plans to bolster brand equity through deeper cultural connections and aims to keep pace with changes in the industry while helping to define those very changes.

In line with its growth strategy, CGC has launched a new business pillar called Catalyst, which focuses on incubating and launching innovative brands. Catalyst aims to provide top-tier leadership in brand positioning, narrative crafting, and tone-of-voice development. The goal is to transform initial momentum into sustainable success over the long term, ensuring that new brands thrive in a competitive landscape.

Since its establishment in 2018, with its first major client being Hermès Parfum and Beauty, CGC has expanded remarkably. Its client roster now includes prestigious names such as Augustinus Bader, Glossier, and Victoria Beckham Beauty. With a growing team and a partnership in the Middle East, Goodwin reports impressive growth figures—45% globally and 120% in the U.S. market—marking a promising future for the agency as it continues to innovate and lead in the beauty and wellness sectors.
