Iris Ventures Leads $15 Million Investment in Medical-grade Skin Care Expert Innerskin

In the heart of London, Iris Ventures is expanding its investment portfolio into the burgeoning intersection of beauty and wellness with a notable $15 million funding round for Innerskin, a French company redefining skin care through noninvasive treatments. Founded just three years ago by Chrystelle Eid, Innerskin has quickly become a significant player in the skin health industry, boasting 19 clinics across France. The brand’s focus is on personalized and preventive skincare solutions, complemented by a unique line of medical-grade products that replicate the effects of hands-on treatments, such as microneedling, without any invasive procedures. This innovative approach appeals to a broad clientele seeking effective yet gentle alternatives to traditional skincare methods.

Eid, who serves as the company’s CEO, emphasizes the emerging trend of “undetectable beauty.” Her philosophy revolves around enhancing natural beauty rather than conforming to rigid beauty standards. With this fresh funding from Iris, along with existing backers like Label Capital, she envisions a strong potential for growth in France and beyond. The demand for accessible, high-quality aesthetic care is increasing, and Eid believes Innerskin is poised to lead this charge, combining advanced skincare technology with an empathetic approach to beauty.

The investment has garnered high praise from Iris Ventures, particularly from Montse Suarez, a founding partner, who lauds Eid as a visionary leader with exceptional insight into consumer needs. The firm’s investment philosophy centers on supporting next-generation brands that prioritize wellness and beauty. With stakes in various innovative companies, including those focused on plant-based health products and supplements, Iris Ventures aligns well with Eid’s mission to create a holistic self-care experience that melds beauty, medical-grade performance, and wellness.

Eid’s extensive plans for Innerskin involve broader geographical expansion. With eyes set on locations like London, particularly upscale neighborhoods such as Chelsea and Notting Hill, she aims to establish 8 to 12 new clinics annually over the next five years across the U.K., Ireland, the Benelux countries, and other European capitals. The focus remains on creating a personalized customer experience that empowers clients through a warm, judgment-free environment. Eid’s background in finance and her lineage—being the daughter of plastic surgeons—fuel her desire to create a more supportive space where clients can feel confident in their skin as it is, rather than conforming to arbitrary ideals of perfection.

The ethos of Innerskin further extends into the company’s skincare products, noted for their potent formulations and advanced delivery systems. Eid describes the products as a blend of “clean and technical,” emphasizing their formulation that penetrates deep into the skin. Featuring a proprietary complex of active ingredients, including marine collagen and red algae extract, these products are designed to deliver skincare benefits effectively. Ranging in price from €35 for a cleansing balm to €165 for a comprehensive Age Defy kit, the products are available at Innerskin clinics and online, though Eid has expressed a desire to maintain the personal touch in client interactions—eschewing wider distribution through third-party vendors.

Overall, the narrative surrounding Innerskin resonates with a commitment to modern beauty and wellness, reflecting consumer demands for transparency and science-backed products. Eid’s ultimate goal extends beyond mere expansion; it is also about setting a new benchmark in the aesthetics industry by prioritizing genuine client care over conventional beauty standards. The company’s future endeavors, including experiential pop-ups like the current one in Paris at Galeries Lafayette, are aimed at enhancing brand visibility while fostering deeper client relationships. As Innerskin continues to evolve, it stands as a remarkable example of how innovative approaches to skincare can reshape consumer expectations and experiences in beauty and wellness.
