Agatha Relota Luczo, the visionary founder and CEO of Furtuna Skin, is making waves by introducing a new line of products centered on her unique philosophy of inner health and outer beauty. On Tuesday, she unveiled two innovative offerings: honey harvested from endangered Sicilian black bees and a botanical tea made from olive leaves, both sourced from Furtuna’s sprawling organic farm in Sicily. The honey is priced at $55, while the tea retails for $25 and will be available on the brand’s website. This introduction not only expands her product line but also embodies her commitment to sustainability and the preservation of nature.

Luczo’s inspiration for these products arose naturally from her mission at Furtuna Skin. She aims to embrace the farm-to-skin ethos, where all ingredients used are cultivated in a way that honors the earth. “We strive to leave this world better than we found it,” Luczo emphasizes. Her dedication extends to restoring olive trees, which she describes as being on the brink of extinction. When she learned about the plight of the Sicilian black bees, it made perfect sense to incorporate them into her farm’s biodiversity, further enhancing her eco-conscious approach.

In her pursuit of beauty, Luczo blends her understanding of nutrition with skincare. She believes that what we apply to our skin is just as critical as our dietary choices. “I start every day with a shot of extra virgin olive oil,” she explains. Luczo highlights the health benefits of honey, which is rich in polyphenols and antioxidants, and olive leaf tea, which she claims has even more antioxidants than green tea. This integrated perspective underscores her belief that skincare rituals should also reflect a holistic lifestyle that promotes overall well-being.

The market demand for Furtuna Skin’s offerings is evident. Luczo has observed a growing interest in wellness-focused ingredients, particularly with their award-winning LXR06 Extra Virgin Olive Oil. “People are searching for unique products that are hard to find elsewhere,” she shares. By offering honey and tea sourced from her farm, Luczo provides a tangible connection for customers to the land and its produce, reinforcing the notion that skincare is not just a practice but a lifestyle encompassing mindful choices.

Furtuna Skin’s growth is not limited to products alone; it is also branching out into hospitality. Luczo recently forged a partnership with Collegio alla Querce and its well-being retreat, Aelia, marking the brand’s entry into the spa industry. She has grand plans for future partnerships, including a highly anticipated launch in the spa of the Orient Express Hotel in Rome. This expansion mirrors her vision of cultivating high-end luxury experiences that echo the artisanal and authentic Italian narrative she stands for.

At the heart of Luczo’s brand philosophy is a clear articulation of what luxury means today. “Luxury to me is knowing that the products are hand-foraged, grown sustainably, and crafted with love,” she states. As she continues to expand Furtuna Skin, Luczo is committed to educating consumers about the processes behind her products, ensuring that every aspect—from ingredients to application—aligns with her values. Thus, her journey is not simply about growth but creating an enriching experience that celebrates nature, wellness, and beauty in harmony.
