The 78th annual Tony Awards celebrated Broadway’s finest with a dazzling display of glamour and creativity. As stars graced the red carpet, they embodied elegance with bold beauty choices that centered around glitz and shine. From sparkling eye makeup to vibrant red lips, the evening was a festive homage to theatrical artistry and style. The enchanting atmosphere was charged with excitement, as attendees showcased their personalities through distinct looks that paid tribute to both classic and contemporary inspirations.

Among the standout attendees was Cole Escola, who won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play for his role in “Oh, Mary!” He dazzled onlookers with a shimmering silver eye makeup that complemented his custom Wiederhoeft gown, designed with a nod to Bernadette Peters’ style from the iconic 1999 Tony Awards. Escola’s playful yet elegant decorated nails sparkled with crystals, embodying the essence of the evening. Adam Lambert, another Broadway luminary, embraced a similar glamour, adorning himself in a full-on metallic ensemble that encompassed every detail, from his makeup to the suit.

Choreographer Camille A. Brown brought her own touch of sparkle with gemstones artfully placed along her hairline. Many stars opted for dark and bold eye makeup, including Audra McDonald, nominated for her captivating performance in “Gypsy,” and Lea Michele, set to star in “Chess” later this year. Their striking looks contributed to the evening’s spirit, with eyes becoming the focal point for numerous attendees, capturing the allure of stage presence through their makeup choices.

However, while many highlighted their eyes, others drew attention to their lips. Nicole Scherzinger, awarded Best Actress in a Musical, and Sadie Sink, nominated for “John Proctor Is the Villain,” both embraced the glamour of Old Hollywood with classic red lips. Scherzinger’s color choice was complemented by Revlon products, showcasing the connection between beauty and high drama. This vintage inspiration echoed through the night, as attendees sought to channel the timeless charm of classic cinema icons.

The night’s homage to Old Hollywood extended beyond makeup, as many stars opted for hairstyles reminiscent of eras past. Amal Clooney, accompanying her husband George, sported elegant, classic curls that paid tribute to the sophistication of a bygone era. Gracie Lawrence embraced 1950s-inspired curls in tribute to her Broadway role, while Brooke Shields opted for slightly looser curls, adding a modern twist to a timeless look. This blend of classic and contemporary on the red carpet served to honor the rich history of theater and showmanship.

Cynthia Erivo, who hosted the evening, continued the theme with her striking nails embellished with red florals and crystals, exemplifying her unique style and flair. The 78th annual Tony Awards were not just a celebration of remarkable performances; they were also a vibrant showcase of beauty and creativity, where each attendee offered their personal interpretation of glamor. As the stars walked the red carpet, they illuminated the intersection of beauty and theatricality, reminding us that in the world of Broadway, every detail counts.
