The WWD’s third annual L.A. Beauty Forum is set to take place on October 6 at The Maybourne Beverly Hills, embracing the theme “Room to Grow: Finding Opportunity in Uncertainty.” This year’s event will gather leaders from diverse sectors such as beauty, wellness, retail, tech, and finance. The forum aims to explore how these industries can evolve in the face of changing consumer demands and a global landscape that is constantly in flux. It will also highlight how brands can thrive during periods of ambiguity by tapping into creativity, resilience, and the spirit of reinvention to foster sustainable growth.

A key focus of the discussions will center around contemporary founders who are redefining their respective categories within the beauty space. As the market grapples with ongoing changes like tariffs, regulations, and technological advancements, understanding these dynamics is essential for success. The speakers will address the realities of operating in a multi-channel environment while examining the innovative strategies that can propel brands forward in this rapidly evolving marketplace.

Jenny B. Fine, editor in chief of Beauty Inc., emphasizes Los Angeles as a historical hub for beauty, where creativity meets technology and business. Despite this rich legacy, she acknowledges the current market challenges, including environmental disasters and economic uncertainties. These factors create a complex backdrop for businesses striving to navigate their growth while maintaining their relevance in a tumultuous environment.

The lineup of confirmed speakers includes prominent figures such as entrepreneur Molly Sims, co-founders of Polite Society Jerrod Blandino and Jeremy Johnson, and Summer Fridays’ Lauren Ireland. Additionally, several makeup artists and entrepreneurs, including Mary Phillips and Victoria Jackson, will share their journeys and insights into successfully navigating their careers and enterprises. NielsenIQ’s Jacqueline Flam will also present valuable and timely consumer insights that can guide brands in understanding shifting market trends.

Representatives from various successful brands will also take the stage, including Hannah Beals of Ouai, Dr. Ellie Byun of Mimoh, and Carina Chaz from Dedcool. Each speaker will bring unique perspectives on leadership, innovation, and market adaptation, sharing the trials and triumphs of establishing their brands in a competitive landscape. This panel of industry leaders will exchange ideas and strategies for developing products and services that resonate with today’s consumers.

As attendance for this gathering grows, it’s clear that there is a strong desire for learning and collaboration within the beauty community. The event promises not only to offer insights but also to foster a sense of connection among participants who share a commitment to growing their businesses in uncertainty. For those keen to glean knowledge and inspire innovation, registration for the 2025 WWD LA Beauty Forum is now open, inviting industry professionals to join this crucial conversation.
