Evvy, known for its innovative approach to women’s health, is stepping into the supplement market with the launch of its first product: Women’s Complete Probiotic. Priced at $55 for a 30-capsule bottle or $44 monthly with a subscription, this probiotic aims to support vaginal, gut, and urinary health. Following its introduction on Tuesday, industry experts predict that initial sales could reach between $1 million and $2 million, highlighting the demand for such products in a market that increasingly recognizes the importance of holistic women’s health.
Since its establishment in 2021, Evvy has focused on providing at-home tests for the vaginal microbiome, analyzing over 700 microbial strains while also offering expert care and prescription access. The introduction of the Women’s Complete Probiotic is viewed as a significant step in the company’s mission to deliver comprehensive health solutions tailored to women. Evvy plans to serve around 100,000 patients by the end of this year, having already conducted more than 80,000 microbiome tests, at prices of $159 for individual tests or $129 with an annual subscription.
This new probiotic is the result of insights gathered from serving over 50,000 women, according to Pita Navarro, Evvy’s co-founder and chief science officer. The focus was on creating a unique product based on their understanding of interconnected symptoms involving the vaginal, gut, and urinary microbiomes. With many women experiencing these issues, the Women’s Complete Probiotic seeks to address their needs in an evidence-based manner.
Priyanka Jain, Evvy’s co-founder and CEO, expressed frustration over the lack of quality options available for women’s health, emphasizing how many symptoms remain unexplained. The Women’s Complete Probiotic aims to bridge this gap by harnessing unique data to provide better solutions for patients. The product includes clinically studied Lactobacillus strains for maintaining a healthy balance in the body, along with postbiotics and essential vitamins for gut and immune support, highlighting Evvy’s commitment to science-backed ingredients.
The launch of the probiotic is seen as an essential extension of Evvy’s service offerings, particularly for those who have undergone their vaginal microbiome test and have been recommended a probiotic. Jain notes that this product not only offers a superior solution but also assists women in maintaining a healthy vaginal microbiome over time. It’s positioned as a daily support option in light of various life factors like hormonal changes, menstrual cycles, and sexual activity, making it a practical addition to women’s health regimens.
Moreover, the probiotic serves as an accessible introduction for women who may be unaware of their vaginal microbiome and its significance. By promoting a widely recognized health product like probiotics, Evvy hopes to educate a broader audience about the importance of this aspect of their health. Looking ahead, Jain affirms that Evvy will continue its focus on enhancing women’s health and fertility through additional tests, treatments, and expert support, ensuring that they remain at the forefront of the women’s health movement.
