Sakara, a wellness brand renowned for its meal delivery service, is taking a significant stride by launching its supplement line at all 15 locations of Credo Beauty nationwide, as well as online. This roll-out introduces five diverse ingestibles: Metabolism Bite, Daily Elixir, Cell Reset, Night Service, and the latest edition, Beauty Biome. Retailing between $34 and $65, these supplements are designed to enhance wellness and beauty from within, with expectations of achieving $15 million in sales this year. The Beauty Biome is particularly noteworthy, incorporating a special blend of probiotics and vitamins to promote gut health and enhance skin clarity, emphasizing the connection between internal wellness and external beauty.

Henry Davis, Sakara’s CEO, who recently joined the company, remarked on the importance of this milestone. The goal is not just to expand product availability but also to integrate holistic wellness into everyday life. Davis highlighted how the convergence of skin health, gut health, and overall well-being is a collective concern among today’s consumers. The formulation of Beauty Biome specifically aims to address these aspects, promoting not just gut health but also helping reduce inflammation and protect collagen, essential for maintaining youthful skin.

Co-founders Danielle DuBoise and Whitney Tingle articulated their commitment to a beauty philosophy rooted in internal wellness. They believe that achieving clear and vibrant skin begins with nurturing gut health. This notion resonates with the budding demand from consumers for effective supplements that support various wellness goals, including beauty enhancement. Davis echoed this sentiment, noting that customers desire more offerings in the beauty supplement category, validating Sakara’s drive to cater to a more extensive range of wellness needs.

This launch not only marks Sakara’s first substantial entry into retail supplement spaces but also their intention to firmly position themselves at the intersection of beauty and wellness. Previously available only online through platforms like Sephora, Sakara is now establishing a vibrant physical presence through Credo Beauty, known for its emphasis on stringent quality and sustainability standards. Credo’s VP of Brands, Jessica Trieber, praised Sakara’s alignment with their values, emphasizing their commitment to responsibly sourced, whole-food ingredients, free from harmful additives and artificial substances.

While focusing on this new line of supplements, Sakara remains committed to its meal service offerings. Davis reassured that the brand isn’t neglecting its core meal products, indicating they are strategically balancing resources across both the meal and supplement sectors. The success of Sakara’s Level II: Detox program and Signature Nutrition Program has spiked interest significantly, with a marked increase in customer engagement, reflection of their successful integration of supplements as entry points into comprehensive wellness.

As Davis noted, there has been a notable increase in cross-sells between the nutrition and supplements categories, indicating the consumer’s positive reception of the combined approach. Sakara aims to maintain momentum with plans for additional product launches. Davis described their agenda for 2023 with an ambitious calendar of new offerings. This demonstrates their commitment to innovation in the wellness industry, driven by a desire to meet customer needs proactively while ensuring that products continue to deliver tangible results in the realms of health and beauty.
