Prada is set to make a significant impact in the fragrance industry with the upcoming launch of Paradigme, their most ambitious men’s fragrance to date, starring the talented actor and entrepreneur Tom Holland. Having collaborated with Prada for years, Holland expresses a deep connection to the brand’s ethos, stating that Prada apparel has consistently bolstered his confidence, particularly during public appearances. The origins of Paradigme trace back to L’Oréal’s acquisition of Prada Beauty in 2021, signifying a shift towards more innovative fragrance offerings. With the introduction of Prada Luna Rossa Ocean and later Prada Paradoxe, the brand aimed to redefine its identity within the perfume market. Yann Andrea, the global president of Prada Beauty, highlights a unique vision behind Paradigme. The brand seeks to challenge traditional notions of masculinity, recognizing the pressure placed on young men by contrasting stereotypes of softness and relentless ambition. In doing so, Paradigme aims to foster a new narrative around masculinity, inviting men to explore their multifaceted identities in a complex world.

The name “Paradigme” itself reflects the fragrance’s intention to inspire a shift in perspective. While the term may not be commonly used, its essence is widely understood—echoing the transformative nature of a “paradigm shift.” Andrea articulates this message succinctly, emphasizing that the fragrance embodies a new way of thinking, being, and doing. This philosophy became central to the team’s creative process, leading them to rethink conventional fragrance crafting. Rather than following the traditional olfactory pyramid, the perfumers introduced base notes upfront, creating a more inviting experience right from the first sniff.

The innovative nature doesn’t stop with the scent. The packaging for Paradigme is equally thoughtful, designed to reflect Prada’s aesthetic principles. The bottle features a modern, geometric design with a striking green hue, differentiating it from the standard dark blue bottles found in men’s fragrances.
