EXCLUSIVE: Laser Facial Company Skin Laundry Is in Rebrand Mode, With a Fresh Aesthetic and New Treatments

A New Chapter for Skin Laundry

Skin Laundry is entering an exciting new phase as it seeks to redefine its brand identity and expand its offerings. Launched in 2013, the company has gained a strong reputation for its innovative laser facials, completing over 2.8 million treatments to date. With a monthly average of 32,000 facials performed, the brand is now ready to evolve beyond its California roots. Recently appointed CEO David McIntosh, who joined the company in April, envisions a broader outlook that will see Skin Laundry becoming a significant player in multiple markets.

To achieve this vision, Skin Laundry is shifting its aesthetic—from a relaxed, beachy vibe to a more sophisticated, minimalistic approach. The redesigned locations will feature herringbone floors and neutral tones, making them appealing in various markets. McIntosh emphasizes that 2025 will be a pivotal year for the brand, focusing on consistency in both look and feel. This uniform approach aims to create a cohesive customer experience, ensuring anyone who visits a Skin Laundry knows exactly what to expect, no matter the location.

As Skin Laundry grows, it’s also adapting its treatment offerings to reach a wider audience while remaining committed to its laser-based services. McIntosh notes that the skincare industry is ever-evolving, prompting the company to explore new technologies and services that are on the horizon. He stressed the importance of staying informed about industry trends without chasing every fleeting novelty, ensuring the brand leads in innovation rather than simply following the pack.

New enhancements are on the horizon, including trending treatments like exosomes and neuromodulators, with Botox and Xeomin set to debut at select locations later this year. Additionally, the company is rolling out other services such as laser hair removal, facial peels, and even a teen acne program. This initiative opens up a new market, allowing families to sign up for joint memberships that will foster shared experiences between parents and their children.

In a landscape where facial bars are increasingly common, Skin Laundry is striving to distinguish itself. To enhance its offerings, the company has partnered with PerfectCorp, leveraging AI-driven technology for skin imaging. This partnership will enable Skin Laundry to provide personalized treatment recommendations, based on sophisticated analyses of individual skin types and conditions. McIntosh believes this will not only boost client safety but also enhance the overall effectiveness of treatments.

While maintaining a membership-based business model that starts at $150 a month, Skin Laundry is also making strides to accommodate clients seeking one-off treatments. This dual approach aims to increase accessibility for those facing complex skin issues. As the brand looks to the future, it plans to grow its footprint significantly, anticipating the opening of more locations both domestically and internationally. With a goal of expanding the store count by 10 percent annually, Skin Laundry is poised to build on its strong foundation and usher in a new era of skincare excellence.
