Chloe Kim, the celebrated snowboarder and two-time Olympic gold medalist, has just been named the latest ambassador for Batiste, the leading dry shampoo brand. At just 25, her remarkable accomplishments include making history as the youngest woman to win an Olympic snowboarding title at 17. This partnership aligns perfectly as Kim prepares to represent Team USA at the upcoming 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics. Scheduled for February 6 to 22, this event marks a significant milestone in her career; Kim’s expertise on the slopes is paralleled by her practical approach to self-care, making her an ideal ambassador for Batiste.

The choice to appoint a "complex woman" like Kim resonates with Batiste’s target audience, as noted by Caitlin Dodd, director of specialty hair care at Church & Dwight, the company behind Batiste. Kim embodies many aspects of modern womanhood—balancing her athletic aspirations with personal interests. She shares, “Dry shampoo is make-or-break for me,” emphasizing how Batiste fits seamlessly into her busy lifestyle. Whether training in Switzerland or attending meetings back home in Los Angeles, Kim appreciates the convenience of Batiste’s travel-size options that allow her to maintain her polished appearance without sacrificing time.

As Kim gears up for her third Olympic Games, she reflects on her growth since her debut. “During my first Games, I was 17 and completely overwhelmed,” she recalls. The second time around brought significant pressure as she aimed to defend her title. Despite an influx of competitors such as K18 and Ouai entering the market, Batiste maintains its leadership, selling a can every 1.3 seconds. The brand’s affordability—around $12 for a full-sized can—makes it accessible to a wide demographic. Dodd highlights that their core consumer base consists mainly of Gen Z and Millennials busy with work and life’s demands, underlining the need for convenient solutions like dry shampoo. Kim’s profile fits perfectly within this target demographic, making her not only a relatable figure but also a strong brand representative.
